myServiceConnection is the Best Place to Find Jobs and Get Hired!
Joining myServiceConnection is quick, easy and FREE! Before you can start using the site to find jobs and send proposals, you must register as a Service Provider and choose a User ID using our secure form. Using User ID's allows us to keep your personal information totally private. We only release your contact information to the client who accepts your proposal.
We do not share your contact info with third parties without your consent.
When you complete the form, we verify your email address by sending you an email that contains a link you must follow to activate your membership.
Find a Job or Project
Now you're ready to find jobs, get hired for your services and get paid! Click the Find a Project button at the top of any page to find a job using any of our search filter methods, including Category, Skills, Subcategory, Project Location, Project Budget, Date Posted, etc.
For example, if you are a painting contractor who specializes in Home / Commercial Services , click on Home / Commercial Category > Repair and Renovations Skills > Exterior / Interior Painting Subcategory, to view all of the available posted listings. Click on the Listing Titles to view more details about that project.
You can sign up for one service category, and select as many skills and subcategories as you wish that also match your experience. Your employment market is as wide and inclusive as you make it!
Carefully review the job listings page, including the job information, description and public messages, as well as other details. You may also review the number and status of other proposals.
If you need more information in order to make a proposal, you may click on Ask a Question under the View Public Messages tab. Your question will be posted and emailed to the customers and you will receive an email when the customers post their response.
In addition, providers are also allowed to send Private Messages, and for some jobs, even request a Pre-Proposal Home Visit from the customer. Both public and private messages can be replied to from your myServiceConnection My Account page, and private questions also from your personal email address.
Submit a Proposal and Bid
To place a proposal, simply scroll to the bottom of the project description page and enter the details of your proposal, including Deposit Information, Form of Payment, Timeframe, Proposal Expiration Date and so forth.
The customer will evaluate each proposal and may accept or decline at any time until the proposal expires, or until the job is awarded to the selected provider.
There are many factors a customer will consider when reviewing competitive proposals. These include bid prices, job experience, credentials, previous work (portfolio), feedback ratings, etc.
After placing your proposal, you may cancel or re-submit a proposal anytime, up until it is accepted by the customer, or until the listing expires or is awarded to another provider. This can be done from the Active Bids section on your myServiceConnection My Account page.
When you place a proposal, the customer receives an email, reviews the proposal, and may email you if they have a question.
If the customer accepts your proposal, you are effectively hired for the job and will receive an email with the customer’s contact information in order to complete the job.
If a customer accepts your proposal, and there is a reason you must then cancel the job, you can do so from the My Account section by clicking on My Jobs, and then clicking Cancel Job. You can learn more about cancelling a job here .
After you deliver your service, it is important that you leave feedback for the client so that he can build his reputation and other members can benefit from your experience. Simply log in to myServiceConnection My Account page and click on Leave Feedback link.
Your customer will also leave you feedback. Building your e-marketplace reputation will attract more customers to your services, help you earn a higher percentage of awarded jobs, and get more business all around.
